Before I fall in love with cooking, the gherkins in our kitchen are only sauted in Chinese way.
When I fall in love with cooking, Mom pickles the gherkins like a can in supermarket, and it is one of Mom's specials.
I like to cook an ingredint in different ways.
Except pickling it with salt and garlics, I refer to recipes in the internet to pickle gherkins with miso.
It's tasted good too.
Otherwise, it would be the ingredients as salad or put into the sandwiches. ( this is what the gherkins would be dealt with, isn't it?)
Now, seeing "nice uncle's pickled gherkins", I must try it!
